Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Into the Wild – Tsavo East National Park
Departure from the Coast
Begin your journey at dawn, leaving behind the turquoise shores of Diani or Mombasa. As the sun rises, the landscape shifts — coconut palms give way to baobabs and thorny scrub.
Game Drive & Arrival
Enter Tsavo East through the Bachuma Gate, greeted by the rust-red earth and the promise of adventure. Keep your eyes peeled for dust-covered elephants, graceful giraffes, and the elusive big cats. Visit the Aruba Dam, a magnet for wildlife, and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature’s symphony.
Overnight at a Safari Lodge
Settle into your lodge or tented camp, where lanterns flicker and the air hums with cicadas. Enjoy dinner under the stars, with the distant roar of lions echoing across the plains
Day 2: Journey to Taita Hills – Saltlick Sanctuary
Scenic Drive to Taita Hills
After breakfast, drive south toward the lush Taita Hills. The terrain transforms — from open savannah to rolling green hills and rocky outcrops.
Check-in at Saltlick Safari Lodge
Arrive at the iconic Saltlick Lodge, perched on stilts above a waterhole. Here, wildlife comes to you — elephants, buffaloes, and antelope gather below as you sip tea from the viewing deck.
Afternoon Game Drive in Taita Wildlife Sanctuary
Explore the private sanctuary with a guided game drive. The sanctuary is rich in biodiversity and offers intimate wildlife encounters. Sunset paints the hills in gold as you return for dinner.
