Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu – Into the Northern Wild
Morning: Depart Nairobi, heading north past Mount Kenya’s silhouette.
Afternoon: Arrive at Samburu National Reserve. Check-in and lunch at your lodge.
Evening: First game drive — look out for Samburu’s “Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk.
Overnight: Lodge or tented camp by the Ewaso Nyiro River
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu – Rare Beauty & Tribal Echoes
Morning & Afternoon: Two game drives exploring Samburu’s semi-arid terrain.
Optional: Visit a Samburu village for cultural immersion.
Wildlife Highlights: Elephants, lions, leopards, and unique northern species.
Overnight: Same lodge/camp
Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru – Flamingo Shores & Rhino Refuge
Morning: Scenic drive via Thomson’s Falls to Lake Nakuru.
Afternoon: Game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.
Wildlife Highlights: White and black rhinos, flamingos, pelicans, buffalo, and Rothschild giraffes.
Overnight: Lodge overlooking the lake
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara – Into the Heart of the Savannah
Morning: Depart for Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley.
Afternoon: Arrive and enjoy a game drive en route to your camp.
Evening: Sunset over the Mara plains — golden hour magic.
Overnight: Luxury tented camp or lodge
Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara – Big Cats & Endless Plains
Morning to Evening: Full-day game drive with picnic lunch.
Wildlife Highlights: Big Five, cheetahs, hyenas, and (seasonal) Great Migration herds.
Optional: Balloon safari or Masai village visit.
Overnight: Same camp/lodge
Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi – Farewell to the Wild
Morning: Leisurely breakfast and optional short game drive.
Midday: Drive back to Nairobi with scenic stops.
Evening: Drop-off at hotel or airport
